Chemise: a loose smock-like undergarment worn by women and girls
Corduroy Sidewalk: a sidewalk made of branches and logs laid on the ground
Frock Coat: a men’s knee-length coat, with a fitted waist and often two rows of buttons
Garibaldi blouse: a loose blouse styled after the followers of Giuseppe Garibaldi, an Italian general and politician who fought to make Italy one country
Medici belt: a wide belt, diamond-shaped in the front, named after a family of Italian nobles
Ruched: fabric or trim that has been pleated or gathered
Tatting: similar to finger knitting, tatting is done by knotting and looping a single strand of cording or heavy thread to create various items.
Whiffletree: a loose bar on a wagon to which the team of animals is hitched
Wideawake: a low-crowned hat, often made of felt, also called a Quaker hat
